86th Interpol gathering unfolds in Beijing this week

The 86th Interpol General Assembly will be held in Beijing from Tuesday to Friday. Police chiefs and other senior law-enforcement officials from home and abroad will gather at the event to discuss a range of policing and security issues, including terrorist threats, border security, cybercrime, drug trafficking, corruption and asset recovery. Interpol is a major international police organization that helps coordinate law enforcement efforts globally. It says its role is to enable police around the world to work together to make the world a safer place.
