City boss forecasting dominance for China

China will be a world soccer superpower in 10 years if it properly plans and invests in national team development, according to the CEO of Manchester City Football Club.

Speaking during a visit to the English city by representatives of 10 Chinese companies eyeing sports development opportunities in China, Ferran Soriano said: "We have a lot of interest in China and we also have a lot people and resources in helping China developing its football. We see China as a land of opportunity for global football."

But he urged the country to be patient in developing its soccer culture.
