Liverpool lands Keita in club-record deal Naby Keita

RB Leipzig star Naby Keita will join Liverpool next year after the English club agreed a reported club-record deal of $62 million with German side RB Leipzig. Liverpool will also reportedly pay an undisclosed premium for the Guinea international midfielder, who helped Leipzig finish runner-up to Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga last term. "Liverpool Football Club can confirm they have reached an agreement with RB Leipzig for the future transfer of Naby Keita," read a Reds statement. The 22-year-old will officially join the club on July 1, 2018. Liverpool's previous transfer record was the $56 million it paid Newcastle United to sign Andy Carroll in January 2011.
