Yingluck 'didn't escape via nation'
Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen on Sunday denied that former Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra had used Cambodia to flee Thailand, according to Cambodian Information Minister Khieu Kanharith. "Yingluck didn't use Cambodia to escape: Hun Sen," Kanharith wrote on his Facebook page. The Cambodian prime minister made the remarks during a closed-door weekly meeting with some 4,400 garment workers in Phnom Penh, the minister said. The denial came after media reported that the former Thai prime minister fled her country through Cambodia and Singapore for Dubai earlier this week, after she failed to show up at a court trial.

DPRK fires 'projectiles'
The Democratic People's Republic of Korea fired several "unidentified projectiles" into its east waters Saturday morning, local media cited the Republic of Korea military as saying. The projectiles were launched from a site near Gitdaeryong in Gangwon Province at around 6:49 am local time, according to the ROK Joint Chiefs of Staff. Those flew some 250 kilometers in the northeastern direction before falling into the sea, Yonhap News Agency cited the JCS as reporting.

Police probe palace attack
British police on Saturday opened a counterterrorism investigation after three officers were injured arresting a man with a 1.2-meter-long sword outside London's Buckingham Palace late on Friday. Counterterror police are questioning the 26-year-old suspect, who drove a car in front of a police van in a restricted area near Queen Elizabeth's official residence, police said in a statement. The man reached for the sword after the unarmed officers approached the car and challenged him, police said.

Authorities seal 30 centers
At least 30 congregation centers of rape convict and self-styled spiritual guru Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh have been sealed across northern state of Haryana, officials said on Sunday. Haryana Police Chief B. S. Sandhu said they have evacuated about 6,000 people from Singh's Dera Sacha Sauda headquarters in Sirsa and around 4,000 are gradually leaving the place.

Forces free 3 areas from IS
Iraqi security forces have liberated three neighborhoods from Islamic State militants in the city of Tal Afar, the Iraqi military said. Police forces and paramilitary units recaptured the neighborhoods of Qadsiyah Oula, Qadsiyah Thaniyah in northern the city and al-Rabie neighborhood in west of the central part of Tal Afar, Lieutenant General Abdul-Amir Yarallah from the Joint Operations Command said.
