Compilation of Xi's remarks published; for some it's the first time made public

BEIJING - A compilation of remarks by President Xi Jinping on socialist political construction has been published by the Central Party Literature Press. The book compiles 330 excerpts of speeches, reports, conversations and instructions made by Xi between Nov 15, 2012, and May 3, 2017, with many of them made public for the first time, the publisher said.

The book is divided into nine areas, including firmly adhering to socialism with Chinese characteristics; sticking to the leadership of the Communist Party of China; improving the system of people's congresses; promoting extensive, multilayer and institutionalized development of consultative democracy; and comprehensively carrying out state governance by law, among others.

It is available nationwide.
