SHANGHAI - Uruguayan coach Gus Poyet apologized and hinted he might quit Shanghai Shenhua after Wednesday's 3-0 Chinese Super League home loss to Guizhou Zhicheng.
Shenhua finished fourth in the league last year and invested heavily this season, bringing Carlos Tevez to China on a contract that made him one of the world's highest paid players.
But the Argentine striker has flopped, missing more than half of Shenhua's games with injury, and he was again absent as the team was handily beaten on Wednesday.
