Toyota elevates Kazuhiro Kobayashi to China unit GM

Kazuhiro Kobayashi, general manager of GAC Toyota Motor Co Ltd, has been promoted to general manager of Toyota China effective April 1. Since Kobayashi entered the Chinese market in 2013, Toyota China began to target the small car and hybrid car segments. Toyota also reassigned five senior executives in China. Tetsuo Ogawa, former general manager of Toyota China, will be in charge of the North American region after the reassignment.
