The central government issued a white paper on the nation's progress in poverty reduction and human rights last week. According to the document, the government has steadily increased support for people with disabilities.

Since 2012, the government has allocated 3.74 billion yuan ($552 million) in low-interest loans to help 219,000 people with disabilities.
