New arrival
Volvo All New S90
Boasting the world's first premium mass model vehicle capable of automated driving at 130 km/h, Volvo's all new S90 launched on the Chinese market at the Chengdu Motor Show.
Volvo Cars, currently importing the new model from Sweden, is set to start manufacturing S90 locally in Daqing plant in Heilongjiang province next year, and will export the product to the US and Europe.
Powered by the award-winning Drive-E T6 engine and the All-Wheel-Drive system, the all-new sedan overtakes its peers' 6 cylinder engines, the company said.
The carmaker's Pilot Assist II is installed as a standard configuration to enable automated pilot the car at a speed up to 130 km/h. The technology accelerates, slows and turns the vehicle smoothly, without following a vehicle in front.
The automatic tuning chassis can swiftly adjust the cushioning 100 times a second after detecting the road surface and calculating the vibration 500 times a second.
The front double wishbone suspension, matching with the precise steering system, reduces the minimum radius of the turning circle to 5.7 meters for this full-size sedan. The rear active air suspension balances the car body for more comfortable and steady running.
