Plucky host squad bows out after quartefinal loss

Captain Christine Sinclair apologized to her coach following Team Canada's 2-1 quarterfinal loss to England at the Women's World Cup on Saturday, but John Herdman said his skipper had nothing to be sorry about.

After conceding just one goal in four matches, the upstart Canadians surrendered two in three minutes early in the opening half.
