Leaders reaffirm Sino-Russian links

Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a statement supporting cooperation during Putin's visit on May 20.

The statement shows Sino-Russian cooperation has entered a new stage, said Lu Nanquan, deputy director of the Russian Studies Center at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

Key areas for cooperation include technology, energy, agriculture, tourism, and business, Lu said.
