Expo building bridges to NE Asia

State-level gathering intended to boost trade, diplomacy

A large exposition held annually in Northeast China's Jilin province is strengthening political and economic bonds among Northeast Asian countries and beyond, organizers said.

When the expo was elevated to a State-level event in 2012, the central government tasked the China-Northeast Asia Expo with the mission of promoting regional cooperation, according to the event's organizing committee.
