Tetra Pak expands support to school feeding program
Multinational packaging company Tetra Pak announced recently it further expanded support for the school feeding program of providing safe and high-quality dairy products for students globally.
Sweden-based Tetra Pak is involved in one of the world’s largest school feeding programs in China since 2000. So far, the program has benefited more than 8.4 million Chinese students in 280 towns and cities. Now the program is being promoted to the nation's poverty-stricken areas.
The student milk program operates in more than 50 countries, including Kenya and Sudan. Turkey, India, Ukraine and Uzbekistan were added this year. More investment and effort will be put into this program and more nations and regions are using school feeding programmes to develop the dairy industry and drive economic growth in addition to improving nutrition and educational outcomes, said Tetra Pak.
