Report: VW to double output

Volkswagen plans to nearly double its production capacity in China to 4 million vehicles by 2018, according to the German magazine Focus in an interview with Jochem Heizmann, the new head of the automaker's China operations.

With two local joint ventures, Volkswagen sold nearly 2.3 million vehicles in the nation last year, its largest sales region for three consecutive years.
