State-owned enterprises boost charities' coffers
Charitable donations from 92 centrally administered State-owned enterprises (SOEs) totaled 1.69 billion yuan ($268.4 million) during the first three quarters of this year, Xinhua News Agency reported, citing official data.
About 976.5 million yuan, or 57.8 percent, of the donations were collected because of "public welfare causes", the report said.
