BAIC forms aviation venture

Beijing Automotive Industry Corp (BAIC) will enter the aviation sector by forming a joint business group with Beihang University, which is renowned for its research and education in aeronautic engineering.

According to an agreement inked last week, BAIC will be the controlling shareholder after providing startup funding, while Beihang will provide technologies and intellectual property rights.
