No fall in CCF donations despite charity scandals
The China Charity Federation (CCF) and its 135 member groups raised 25.59 billion yuan ($4.02 billion) in donations last year, CCF president Fan Baojun said on Oct 11. According to Fan, the federation launched 1,302 charity programs last year, benefiting more than 80 million people. Fan said in September that the donations raised by the CCF in 2011 were no fewer than those raised in past years, despite a series of charity scandals that shook the public's confidence.
