Teachers make a difference, one starfish at a time

School is out and students are enjoying their winter vacations.

Teachers will also be taking some well-deserved time off, or maybe not because the conscientious teacher will not only use this time to recharge and do a bit of reading but, more importantly, prepare lessons for the next semester.

Having been an educator for nearly a decade, with five years in China, I can testify that any Tom, Dick or Harry can teach but to be a really outstanding teacher, you need more than just a litany of academic qualifications.
