Premier reiterates 'impartial stand'

Beijing stresses keeping peace, stability on the Korean Peninsula

Tokyo - Beijing repeated its pledge to take an "impartial" stand on the sinking of the Republic of Korea (ROK) warship, saying that any clash on the issue could have serious repercussions in the region.

During an interview with Japanese public broadcaster NHK on Tuesday morning, Premier Wen Jiabao again expressed his worries about the rising tension on the Korean Peninsula.
