Courageous kid leaves hospital after donation

The brave young boy who donated bone marrow to save the life of his dangerously ill mother was discharged from hospital yesterday.

Shao Shuai, the 12-year-old boy from Xuzhou in Jiangsu province, has regained his appetite following the operation and was smiling yesterday.

"I feel good now, and so does my mother," the 12-year-old told METRO yesterday afternoon as he tucked into a bowl of rice and kungpao chicken.
