Serenity on a 6-kilometer private beach

I spent a fantastic holiday in Sabah last May.

After leaving Beijing, my flight stopped over in Hong Kong. It took me about eight hours in total to arrive at Kota Kinabalu.

Staying at the Shangri-la Rasa Ria Resort, 40 minutes' drive from Kota Kinabalu International Airport and 35 minutes from the city's center, I found myself on Pantai Dalit beach surrounded by 400 acres of lush tropical vegetation, including a natural reserve.
