City police stressed with heavy workload

Almost three-quarters of the Beijing police force is suffering from health problems and the number is increasing.

The rate of poor health among local coppers has risen by 10 percent in the last five years, according to research from Zhan Wei, a professor in the Chinese People's Public Security University.

Beijing police have the heaviest workload compared with other cities in China, Zhan said.
