Residents seek help from district congress deputies to push lawsuit ahead

Haidian district court yesterday rejected a lawsuit filed by the brother of a man who set himself on fire in an attempt to stop the forced demolition of his family's home.

Xi Xinzhu was seriously burned after dousing himself in gasoline when six men allegedly broke into his father's house on Dec 14 and tried to force them to leave.
