31 on trial for gang connections

Thirty-one people went on trial yesterday in Chongqing municipality charged with gang-related crimes.

Li Qiang, a wealthy businessman and former deputy to the Chongqing municipal people's congress, is in court as an alleged gang leader. He faces nine charges.
