Mexicans wave visa waiting time

Mexico is to simplify visa applications for Chinese tourists, making it easier for them to visit the picturesque country.

The process to apply for visas at centers in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong will be cut from up to two weeks to just three days, said Jorge Guajardo, the Mexican ambassador to China.

"They will also be able to apply for multiple-entry visas valid for 10 years upon passing a simple face-to-face interview, as we encourage Chinese tourists to visit Mexico again and again," he said.
