Cloned pigs born
Three cloned piglets with a gene resistant to the swine fever virus , a fatal disease for the livestock, have been born in Jilin province, Chinese researchers have said.
The piglets, weighing 1.05 kg, 1.1 kg and 550 g, were born on Wednesday afternoon in a pig farm under the agriculture department of Jilin University.
The piglets are said to be the first of their kind to possess the virus-resistant gene.
