Experts' view

Chinese stocks joined a regional market rout for a second consecutive day yesterday amid growing pessimism that recessionary pressures in the United States could spill over to the regional economies.

The current market conditions have made this a very challenging period for QDII fund providers on the mainland. We expect the subscription periods for the next batch of QDII funds to be extended as investors adopt a wait-and-see approach.
