Chopper with 6 disappears

A Russian civilian helicopter has gone missing in a remote Arctic province, transport officials said yesterday, and rescuers are searching for its six crew members.

Radio contact with the Mi-8 helicopter was lost on Sunday afternoon as the craft flew near the oil-industry city of Salekhard, about 2,000 km northeast of Moscow, the Transport Ministry said in a statement.
