Bomb attack kills 20

A bomb attack in eastern Algeria that may have been destined for visiting President Abdelaziz Bouteflika left at least 20 people dead and more than 100 others wounded, medical officials said on Friday.

The bomb exploded in the middle of a crowd awaiting the president's arrival on Thursday afternoon in Batna, about 450 km east of Algiers - and the last stop on a presidential tour of eastern Algeria that began three days earlier.
