Show-off boyfriend lands in deep water

To show off his swimming skills to his girlfriend, a man in Chongqing Municipality jumped into the Yangtze River and swam until he was too tired to make it back.

The man, surnamed Wei, was on a date with his girlfriend on Aug. 29 when he tried to demonstrate his swimming talent. He took off his clothes and jumped into the river and then traveled towards a dam. He was too tired to swim back after he reached the dam. His girlfriend waited for a long time before she called the fire brigade to rescue him with lifeboats.
