Newly arrived panda attacks zookeeper

A zookeeper surnamed Zhang was injured by a newly arrived panda he was feeding on Saturday in the Lanzhou Zoo in the capital of Northwest Gansu Province.

As Zhang was feeding bamboo to the panda, named Lanzai, he was suddenly attacked. Although the zookeeper was outside Lanzai's cage, Zhang's arms and legs were seriously injured, requiring more than 100 stitches. Zhang is reportedly in stable condition.
