Animator steps up
An animator at DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc was named vice-president of animation at Hong Kong Studio Imagi, which made the recent computer-animated movie TMNT, Imagi International Holdings Ltd said recently.
Tim Cheung is a Hong Kong-raised, US-educated animator who was at DreamWorks for 12 years and worked on the Shrek trilogy.
Cheung, 35, studied at the Pratt Institute in New York City, and will manage Imagi's more than 400 animators and work on films like Gatchaman and Astro Boy, which are based on Japanese cartoon characters.
Morgan Stanley recruit
Dino Kos, who headed the Markets Group at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, has been hired for Morgan Stanley's team advising central banks on how to invest.
Kos, 48, will be based in Hong Kong as the head of central banks and sovereign wealth funds. The move comes as official savings of exporting nations such as China have increased, creating new pools of wealth and opportunities for financial firms.
