StanChart growth
Standard Chartered Bank said on Tuesday that its business in China was growing rapidly, with its income more than doubling in the first half of the year. "We are on track with branch expansion, with 30 locations in 15 cities, and plan to have about 40 outlets by year's end," its group chief executive Peter Sands said. The bank said its global operating income grew by 28 percent to $5.26 billion in the first six months of the year.
