Unnatural disasters

The government must ensure relief funds reach the people affected by disasters, says a commentary in Beijing Youth Daily. The following is an excerpt:

Natural disasters have hit the country quite often this year. Droughts, torrential rains and floods have affected people's lives nationwide.

The Ministry of Civil Affairs and the Ministry of Finance have allocated 435 million yuan ($57.5 million) in relief to 18 provinces. Some provincial governments have also allocated funds to help those affected.
