Party boss sacked

Duan Yihe, director of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Jinan, capital of Shandong Province, has been stripped of his post and Party membership for keeping a mistress and his alleged involvement in a mystery explosion. A car exploded on July 9 in Jinan, killing its female owner and injuring one other person.

No more details were revealed, and the standing committee also ceased his representative status yesterday.
