Volvo China head resigns
Per Norinder (left), general manager of Volvo Car China, has resigned from his position and will return to Sweden, the Beijing Times reported.
The report said Alexander Klose, who was appointed CEO of Volvo China in April, will take over Norinder's responsibilities.
Norinder, 63, has been working at Volvo for 38 years. His resignation is partly because he has reached retirement age.
Market insiders said that another reason is due to the poor sales of the Volvo S40 after the local production of the model began.
