Use what we have

Generally speaking, when something is in short supply, people tend to use it more efficiently.

But this does not seem to apply here in China. While the supply of many resources is decreasing, waste remains rampant.

A recent analysis of the country's major mineral reserves finds that about two-thirds of the minerals in China are yet to be discovered. That indicates a huge potential. But this in no way changes the reality that in per capita terms, this country is among the poorest resource wise.
