Film on childbirth sparks controversy

Some elementary schools that have been letting their students watch a science film on childbirth, have sparked a great controversy in Zhengzhou, capital of Henan Province.

The schools said the popular film was aimed at educating the children as well as making them more empathetic of their mothers.

But some parents felt the children were too young for such exposure. They also felt it could lead them astray.

Zhengzhou is said to be the first mainland city where elementary schools are screening such science films.
