A number of exhibitions, concerts and arts events have been organized in Macau this month, further highlighting the city's growing role as a MICE (meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions) center in Asia.

Music fans had a wonderful time in the enclave.

On March 3, two concerts were held: Chamber Music Series "The Charm of Villa-Lobos" and Mozart Remix - Uri Caine Ensemble at Dom Pedro V Theatre and Macau Cultural Center, respectively.

On March 10, Rebecca Pan, the first singer to incorporate English Lyrics into Chinese hits and export them abroad, gave a performance at Macau Cultural Center. She and her 15-musician ban orchestrated various songs including Mandarin pop songs, American classics, folk, Chinese tunes, jazz and musical theatre.

Apart from music, visitors will also be treated to paintings and dramas in Macau this month.

From March 10 to April 8, "Fervent Spirits" will present masterpieces by Han Leran, a prominent people's artist, who was known for his pictures of lives of the people of different clans in Northwest China through Western watercolor and oil paintings.

An exhibition of nearly 100 watercolors of Macau produced by local and visiting painters will also be held from March 17 to June 24 to record the lives of the city.

British painter George Chinnery's work will also be presented at the exhibition "Fading Impression - Macau Watercolor Scenery". He arrived in the territory in 1825 and was inspired by the beautiful scenes in the urban landscapes of Macau.

Nine local artists will show their respect to one of the oldest wells Lilau in Macau with Chinese ink paintings, videos, installation, oil paintings, watercolors, design, mixed materials and photography. From March 23 to May 13, the work can be seen at Tap Seac Gallery. Legend has it that those who drink the water from the well can someday return to Macau.

Businesspeople can also find Macau a good place to showcase their products and interact with counterparts from across the world, with three expositions going on in Macau this month.

From March 3 to 24, an exhibition called Creative Macau will help promote the city's creativity and innovations. It showcases advertising, architecture, crafts, design, designer fashion, film & video, interactive leisure software, music, performing arts, publishing, software & computer development and visual arts.

The 13th Wedding, Banquet and Jewelry Expo was held from March 10 to 11 as part of the city's celebration of the International Women's Day. Latest wedding dress and jewelry designs were on display at nearly 100 exhibition booths at the Macau Tower.

The world's toy collectors will find a good reason to visit Macau, as the city is expected to display more than 100 toys produced from the 1930s to 1980s. The exhibition "Fascinating Amusements of Children An Exhibition of Vintage Toys" will be held at the Taipa House-Museum from March 25 to June 3.
