Visitors to safari park gather to see koala cub
A 6-month-old koala has become a star at Guangzhou Xiangjiang Safari Park during the Lunar New Year holiday.
The cub attracts many visitors, who compete to take pictures with it every day. Four koala cubs, including a pair of twins, have been born since the park imported three male and three female koalas from Australia in April 2006. The three other koala cubs will also meet tourists in the coming months.

Guangdong village's lion dance popular
A special lion dance performance has been attracting tourists to Shangyue village of Guangdong Province since the beginning of the lunar new year.
All the performers are local women who use beautiful quilts to decorate the lion models each day. The performances will end on March 4, the 15th day of the new year, which is also Lantern Festival. The special tradition and customs of the quilt lion dance performance by women is said to have a long history.

Family of five engages in 'Great Mouse Chase'
A family of five in Hong Kong staged an overnight hunt for a mouse that bit the mother of the family after she had stepped on its tail.
The residents of a high-rise apartment in Yuen Long rarely see mice in their building. But when the elder son came home on Sunday morning after midnight, he reported seeing a mouse in the dining room. The chase awoke the whole family. The mouse escaped behind the washing machine after biting the mother. But the family moved the machine and killed it.
