Mining bids suspended
The Ministry of Land and Resources has temporarily stopped receiving any applications for the right to explore new coal-mines, according to a statement released yesterday.
The suspension is aimed at easing investment in coal mining to prevent a production surplus and ensure the steady production of coal, the statement said.
