Imbalance of sexes

Comments on Li Xing's column "Raising my voice for our girls" (China Daily, January 25, 2007)

I am firmly behind Li Xing. The concerns of gender inequality have been brought up countless times, but it seems discrimination against women is getting worse and worse, though, a lot of work has been done for years.

As for the sex imbalance problem between the newborn male and female babies, I believe that most of the governments, including the central and local, have done excellent work. I don't think there would be another country with more than 1 billion people able to do a decent job like that.
