Yao Ming truly deserves the title of young leader thanks to his sense of social responsibility and commitment to spreading Chinese culture, says a signed article in Xiaoxiang Morning News. An excerpt follows:

The World Economic Forum released its 2007 list of "young leaders" last Tuesday. Yao Ming, an NBA player from China, was on it.

A four-time NBA All-Star player, Yao has worked to promote the Special Olympics and help people suffering from disabilities. He has also appeared in several public service announcements against discrimination towards AIDS patients and people who are HIV positive.
