Myanmar resolution
I think both Beijing and Moscow did the right thing in the UN Security Council by vetoing the US resolution calling on the Myanmar government to stop persecution of opposition groups.
The five principles of peaceful coexistence advocated by China and many other developing countries are also the principles recognized by the majority of the UN members. Therefore, unless it endangers regional or world peace and stability, a country's internal affairs should not be intervened with through the stage of the UN Security Council.
Different nations with different cultural backgrounds and development levels have different perceptions of democracy and human rights. No country has the right to force its own standard of democracy or human rights upon the others.
