MARE

The last tapas selection was a very traditional Spanish tortilla. Not a flat piece of bread that many westerners are use to-that is a Mexican invention of the same name.

But a Spanish tortilla is an omelet of potatoes and eggs or slated cod fish. Since mare is Spanish for sea I opt for the more traditional cod fish version. The salted cod fish has been expertly prepared so that once air dried fish is now moist and delicious with only a slight sea-saltiness that brings a hint of the ocean to your mouth.

With two locations already – Sanlitun and the new location in CBD – Mare is an excellent choice for lunch or dinner. The “30 Best” tapas selections live up to their billing and the ambiance is perfect for a dinner party or a romantic evening for two. Bravo Mare!
