One of longest arch bridges in China successfully closed

A steel-tube arch bridge in Yunnan province was successfully closed on Nov 15, 2016. The bridge, which sits 270 meters above the Lancang River, is part of the Dali–Ruili Railway in Southwest China's Yunnan province. The main body of the bridge has a span of 342 meters, and the entire length of its bridge floor is 528.1 meters, making it one of the longest arch bridges China has ever built. And it is also the world's first bridge which was constructed using the "secondary vertical turn" construction method. [Photo/VCG]
