The strategic model from SAIC Motor Corp is debuting at the Auto Shanghai and will likely hit the market in May, according to the company.

The most important change in the car's powertrain is a new six-speed dual-clutch transmission, which improves both the driving experience and fuel efficiency.

To appeal to younger buyers, the car is equipped with many configurations that usually appear on more-expensive products, like the start-stop system, electric parking brake and configurable dashboard.
