From serving tea to entertaining children, robots nowadays are doing all kinds of jobs. To show how far the robotics industry has come, an exhibition, which runs until December 12, is currently under way at China International Service Robot Technology & Application Show in Shanghai.

These robots, designed for both professional and personal use, can be applied in catering, shopping, education, healthcare and domestic service industries.

The annual sales revenue of the rapidly growing sector is expected to exceed 30 billion yuan ($4.35 billion) in China by 2020, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
