China's development of the green industry during its 12th Five-Year Plan (2011-15) will result in 3.6 trillion yuan in investment opportunities, a senior commerce official said on Tuesday.
"Environmental protection products will contribute greatly to global trade and China’s need for advanced technology and services in promoting green industry and environmental protection will be mainly fulfilled through trade," Ma Xiuhong, former vice-minister of commerce and a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, said during a news briefing.
The China International Green Innovative Products and Technology Show will be held from Nov 9 to 11 in Guangzhou, Guangdong province. More than 400 companies from home and abroad have registered themselves for the fair.
