Animation comes alive in Dongguan

International fair on copyright protection of animation content and trade opened in Dongguan, a manufacturing and trade hub in the Pearl River Delta, on Thursday.

It has attracted 443 domestic and overseas companies producing animation, up 6 percent compared with the last session, according to the organizers.

"The fair will help better protect animation copyright and boost trade of the industry by cooperating with more overseas companies," said Liang Fengming, deputy secretary-general of the organizing committee.

Of the exhibitors, 67 are overseas animation companies, an increase of 10 percent from the last session,

The organizers have planned a series of promotion and match-making activities for companies and buyers during the fair, which is scheduled to conclude on Aug 25.
